This is my first comic book render adaptation, taken from the old 1985 DC Star Trek comic cover 'The Tantalus Trap' (No.12). LINK: www.comicvine.com/star-trek-12…
I have replaced the Excelsior with the Xavier...why? Because I could.

"Hey!" I exclaimed, noticing the thumbnail for this pic. "That's based on the old DC ST comic!" As soon as I clicked the thumbnail, I was greeted by a stunning rendition of the old cover. "Oh, but that's not the Excelsior," I  noted. Upon looking for a moment, though, I decided that switching out Excelsior with Xavier was a better choice, since the scale of the Excelsior on the DC cover is slightly too big.

Darn it. Every now and again I have ST flashbacks, and my inner nerd comes out... :D
